COVID-19 parish update

Dear Parishioners,

Archbishop Anthony Fisher issued a pastoral letter on 23rd March 2020. The full letter is available on the Archdiocesan website :

Closure of Churches

“Clarification has been received from government that, in New South Wales at least, all churches must be closed, even to private prayer.”

Sunday Observance and alternative devotions

“…the faithful can keep Sunday holy by setting aside some time for prayer at home, reading the Scriptures of the day, watching Mass on tv or online, and /or asking God for the graces they would normally receive in Holy Communion.”

An Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus,

I believe that You

are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.

I love You above all things,

and I desire to receive You into my soul.

Since I cannot at this moment

receive You sacramentally,

come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.

Amen.
